ABOUT US

Bodrum's first guesthouse, still here

Artemis opened its doors in 1961 as the very first guesthouse in Bodrum. Back then Bodrum was a quiet harbour of sponge divers and fishing boats, far from the town you see today. Ours was the house that welcomed the first travellers who wanted to stay on Kumbahçe bay.

We began with twelve rooms. By the 1980s we had grown to twenty-one. We expanded and we renewed, but what we tried to protect never changed: being a home that knows its guests by name and keeps its door open to everyone.

The hotel sits in the middle of Kumbahçe bay, in the shadow of the 620-year-old Bodrum Castle. We are right on the water — step outside and you are on the shore. The castle, the bazaar and Bar Street are all within walking distance, so you can have breakfast facing the sea and spend the evening under the castle lights.

Our rooms include standard rooms, sea view rooms, terrace rooms overlooking the castle and the sea, and rooms with a French balcony. We have been in the same bay for over sixty years, and we would be delighted to welcome you too.
